Autumn’s blade
Forged in the meeting place of earth and spirit, the Autumn Blade is a one-of-a-kind Sylvan Bones artifact, marrying natural relics with sculpted myth. Its serrated blade is carved from shimmering red-goldstone, glinting like embers in fading twilight. The hilt is anchored by a real bovine vertebra, grounding the piece in bone and body.
The guard is sculpted in copper-patinaed solder, entwined with hand-formed leaves and set with two sacred vessels: a preserved autumn leaf with moss, sealed beneath a glass lens like a frozen memory of the forest floor, and a polished labradorite, shifting with stormlight hues.
This piece is not simply an art object—it is an artifact of protection, harvest, and ancestral remembrance. It carries the spirit of the woods in late autumn, when life and decay intertwine. A ceremonial blade, not meant for use in cutting, but for presence: altar display, ritual work, or as a sculptural offering to the unseen.
Blade: Goldstone (spark, energy, ambition)
Guard & Hilt: Real bovine vertebra, copper-patinaed solder, sculpted leaves
Inlays: Preserved autumn leaf with moss under glass; polished labradorite (intuition, protection, shadow work)
Length: approx. 9.5 in (tip to base)
Use: Ceremonial, sculptural, altar display
