This one-of-a-kind ceremonial artefact is constructed from naturally found deer vertebrae, carefully arranged into a sculptural column and aged by hand to evoke the quiet passage of centuries. Wisps of preserved moss weave through the bone like roots reclaiming forgotten stone, while sculptural silver-soldered metalwork cradles a natural druzy agate at its crown.
The agate’s open center forms a natural window—an invitation to look beyond rather than within. Depending on the light, it becomes a portal framed by amber and ivory banding, catching the landscape beyond and transforming it into part of the piece itself.
Mounted upon a vintage metal candlestick base, The Hollow Veil stands as a relic somewhere between natural history and folklore. It is equally at home upon an altar, within a cabinet of curiosities, or displayed as a sculptural centerpiece.
